Neil Gross BSc (Hons) MPhil MAAS MIOA Neil Gross is a Director of Wilkinson Murray Pty Limited and has over 25 years experience in environmental and architectural acoustics and engineering noise control. His qualifications include a Master of Philosophy (Acoustics) and Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering). He is a member of the Australian Acoustical Society, serving time as Chairman of the NSW Division and National President. He is also a member of the Institute of Acoustics, UK. Following his training in the UK, Neil joined Wilkinson Murray in 1991 and has managed many of the environmental and architectural projects over recent years. This has included involvement in the following disciplines: Road Traffic Noise; Construction Noise & Vibration; Industrial Noise including Ports; Mines & Quarries; Rail Noise & Vibration including groundborne noise isolation; and the design of residential and commercial developments. Neil's experience in road traffic noise has been gained from extensive involvement of numerous projects, particularly associated with the Pacific Highway Upgrade. He has also had detailed involvement the construction noise and vibration approvals process for large infrastructure projects including community consultation. Neil has been regularly engaged as an expert witness in the Land and Environment Court and has authored the Noise and Vibration components of the "Leading Practice Program for the Mining industry" for the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism.. Neil has been involved in the following projects: EIS and Detailed Design for Pacific Highway Upgrades at Bonville, Sapphire, Coffs Harbour, Brunswick Heads, Yelgun, Ourimbah, Woolgoolga and Kempsey; Construction Noise for Lane Cove Tunnel, M5 Casula Link, and Westfield Parramatta; Rail Noise and Vibration at Harris Park Y Link, Ultimo Pyrmont Light Rail, New Southern Railway and Parramatta Rail Link; Industrial / Resources Noise at Cooma Quarry, Elizabeth Drive and other residential / commercial developments such as Forum, St Leonards and Garvan Institute.
